Grid Story Factory

Privacy Policy

Last updated:

1. Scope of this policy

This policy describes information handled by Grid Story Factory, also known as the Homeless Media Engine Generator. It covers this website’s content collection, trend monitoring, Instagram benchmarking, AI caption generation, visual editing, and scheduling features.

Content you open on Instagram, news websites, or other external services is also subject to those services’ own privacy policies. This policy does not replace them.

2. Information we process

Information you provide includes social media handles and URLs, article links, source text, captions, headlines, selected media brands, uploaded images and logos, and scheduling instructions.

Information collected from sources may include public account names and usernames, post URLs, captions, thumbnail or media URLs, a highlighted comment, comment counts, news titles, sources, publication times, and trend metrics from X and Google Trends. Public posts and comments can still contain personal information.

For scheduled publishing, records may include the destination Instagram account identifier, caption, uploaded media location, scheduled time, publishing status, retry attempts, error messages, publication time, and the published post link.

The website also uses browser session state for sign-in. Hosting, storage, and automation services may process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, and diagnostic logs when handling requests.

3. How information is used

Information is used to retrieve source content, display news and trends, compare Instagram posts, generate captions and headlines, compose visuals, manage the publishing queue, and publish requested posts to the configured Instagram account.

Selected Instagram account URLs are sent to an automation workflow when you request a benchmark. Text submitted for caption generation is sent to a generation workflow and may be processed by the AI services configured in that workflow. Avoid submitting confidential information or personal data that is not necessary for the task.

Scheduling a post sends its caption, media, account information, and timing instructions to the publishing workflow. Published content becomes visible on Instagram according to the destination account’s settings.

4. Visual editing and uploaded media

The local visual editor composes images and exports them using your browser’s Canvas functionality. Editing or exporting locally is separate from uploading a file for scheduled publishing. Remote images, fonts, and template overlays may still require requests to their hosting services.

When you upload media for scheduling, the file is sent to the configured storage service so the publishing workflow can access it. Treat media links as potentially accessible to anyone who has the link, and do not upload sensitive or confidential material.

5. Service providers and external platforms

The application uses Lovable for website hosting, Supabase for configured data and media storage, and n8n automation workflows for collection, synchronization, AI generation, and publishing tasks. Those workflows may use additional providers depending on their configuration.

Instagram and Meta handle Instagram source content and publishing. X, Google Trends, and news publishers provide content displayed or referenced by the application. Loading third-party media or following an external link may disclose technical request information to that provider.

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their respective terms and privacy policies govern their processing; this page does not promise a particular hosting location or international-transfer arrangement.

6. Browser storage and cookies

The app stores a sign-in indicator in browser session storage to maintain access during your browsing session. Session storage is distinct from a cookie and normally ends when the browser session closes.

Hosting and external services may apply their own cookies or similar technologies. You can manage cookies and browser storage through your browser settings; disabling necessary storage may affect sign-in or other functions.

7. Retention and deletion

Collected benchmark and trend records, scheduling records, and uploaded files may remain in the configured database or storage until removed by the operator or a service’s retention process. A fixed retention period has not been specified for this application.

The dashboard’s 48-hour data window and the benchmark’s latest-post limit control what is displayed; they do not mean older records are automatically deleted. Deleting a queue entry does not necessarily delete an uploaded file, a backup, or a post already published to Instagram.

8. Your choices and privacy requests

You can choose which Instagram accounts to benchmark, decide which content to submit, and use the available scheduling controls to cancel or remove queue entries. A cancellation may not stop a post that is already being processed or has already been published.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal information, or to object to processing. Contact the website administrator through your existing team or organizational contact channel, identifying the relevant account, post URL, or record without sending passwords or access tokens.

A dedicated privacy contact address has not yet been specified on this website. Requests involving a post published on Instagram may also require action through the destination account or Meta’s own tools.

9. Responsible use and security

Only submit or publish content you are authorized to use. Do not enter passwords, access tokens, private messages, or unnecessary sensitive personal information into captions, source text, or uploads. Public availability does not remove privacy or copyright obligations.

No website or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Use this tool only for appropriate team workflows and report suspected unauthorized access to the website administrator. The service is intended for content-production teams, not for collecting information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the application’s features or service providers change. The date shown at the top identifies the latest revision. Review this page before submitting information if you need to understand the current practices.
